AN UPDATE ON RECENT SHIPPING DELAYS
We want shopping with PINKYCHLOE to be fun and easy. But because of the pandemic there's been delays with shipping providers like USPS, DHL and FedEx, and also US customs. Although these delays are beyond our control, we're working hard to get delivery times back to normal. Read on for more info.
HOW YOUR PACKAGE IS PROCESSED & DELIVERED
This is the journey your PINKYCHLOE package takes to get to you!
1. Your items are packaged, disinfected and prepped for shipping at our warehouse
2. Your package goes on a plane and arrives your nearest airport where it is inspected by US customs
3. Your package is picked up and brought to a distribution center by a local shipping provider
4. Your package is brought to its new home by a local courier
It's quite a complicated journey your package has to take, and the pandemic has caused delays in each of these steps. But rest assured, PINKYCHLOE is working hard to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
WHY ARE THERE DELAYS IN PACKAGE DELIVERY?
EVERYONE IS SHOPPING FROM HOME
We're all stuck at home so everyone is shopping online, which means a lot more packages to process. Our warehouse is working hard to get every package shipped as quickly and safely as possible, but that's led to some delays.
REDUCTION IN FREIGHT FLIGHTS FROM CHINA
Due to COVID-19, flights to the US have been drastically reduced. So some orders are taking longer than usual before they're flown from our warehouse to our local shipping providers.
DELAYS IN CUSTOMS
An increase in online shopping has led to more packages coming from overseas. This has caused a backlog of packages that need to be processed through US customs. Because of this, some of our packages are being held at customs longer than usual.
DELAYS WITH LOCAL SHIPPING PROVIDERS
Many local shipping providers like USPS, DHL, and FedEx are experiencing delays due to a much higher volume of shipments during COVID-19. This results in longer than usual delays in delivering your packages from PINKYCHLOE.
WHAT WE'REDOING TO IMPROVE PACKAGE SAFETY S DELIVERY TIME
IMPROVED WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
Safety first! To keep you safe from COVID-19, we have upgraded our warehouses, and the way packages are processed and sanitized. Because of these steps and higher than normal volume of orders, it is taking longer to process some of your packages. Don't worry though, we have added more warehouse staff and added new equipment to speed things up.
WORKING WITH NEW SHIPPING PARTNERS
Because our current international and domestic shipping providers are overloaded causing delays in package delivery. We have started to work with more shipping providers to help handle the load and get delivery times back to normal.
